Okay, so I'm a bit delayed getting round to this, but it's been a bit of a mad week, but many, many over excited Muse related warblings to follow.

So, we got there nice and early and did all the important stuff like spending all the money we'd bought on T-shirts (although my mate Clayre had already spent money before we got there on buying an absolutely fabulous stuffed rat for me. Hurrah!!!!!. Late birthday present) and then we wondered off to find our seats. We had pretty good seats actually, I'm very glad we weren't way at the back, 'coz I don't like heights, and would have spent most of the gig cowering and holding on to the seat for dear life. :D

Then it rained. And I don't mean a little bit of rain, it tipped down. So we were very rock and roll sitting there under my Tigger umbrella (tho we did spot someone else with a Winnie the Pooh one!!!!) Then we got cold, so got even more rock and roll by sitting on the floor inside and drinking cocoa. I've never been much of a one for drinking at gigs anyway, but hot chocolate is a new low. Possibly I am getting too old for this lark. :D

Out of sheer morbid curiosity we wandered back to watch Fred and Susan or whatever they were called. They were dull. Tho they did actually play Metallica at one point. As well as being really stunningly boring, they also had the ability to bend time and seemed to be on stage for about a week.

Dirty Pretty Things probably would've been pretty cool, but the sound was shit and they just didn't really come across.

Didn't even bother with The Streets. I've heard them live before and they are not good. So we went and remortgaged both our houses in order to buy a hot dog and pizza and sat on the floor (with coke this time. The fizzy stuff. No snorting.) and played spot the T-shirt. Which was a bit boring really 'coz it was like 'Muse, Muse, Muse, Muse, Muse' Tho we did get over-excited and wave at someone for wearing a Lostprophets T-shirt, and I jumped up and down 'coz I finally found someone in a Foo Fighters T-shirt.

Ironically, since the thing I want to one day make a living at is being a writer, I'm really not sure I have the words to do Muse justice. They were just awesome. From the big classical music themed, confetti streaming entrance, to the acrobats on balls it was just amazing.

And unlike some bands I've seen that have huge stage production to make up for the fact that they can't actually play a note live, Muse were absolutely faultless. It kinda pains me to get all gushy about Matt Bellamy, but dear god the man is a genius. If I'd have had any way of going again on the Sunday I so would've.

It's taken me five years to get to see Muse live, but hell they were worth the wait, I can honestly say they are probably the best band I've ever seen live.

I finally got my DVD of 'Terrorvision -For Night Only' from Play today after EONS of it being out of stock.

Firstly there's the sheer squealy fangirlness of being able to go 'I WAS THERE!!!!!!!!!' But also it's just sooooooo cool to actually have a reminder again of how utterly fab Terrorvision were.

Don't know how many people on here will even remember them, but they were quite possibly my favourite band in the history of the world ever, and the only band I've ever actually cried over when they split up (I still haven't got over it. Just like I've never recovered from the epic crapness of the last ever episode of 'Angel' I mean purlease. All the promises of him becoming human and what have you and we got that! And they killed Wesley. *cries* But I do believe I digress) and I haven't listened to Radio One since 'coz I blame them. (Not that this is really a hardship. And actually I tell a lie, 'coz I did record it when Lostprophets did the live lounge bit and fast forwarded all the bits that weren't Ian. I do suffer for that man, but I'm getting away from myself again.) I saw them live 11 times. (I think, I'm a bit hazy on some of them. Donington 90 Summat for one, but then that was the gig that somebody pulled my arm off at, so I guess it's not surprising) and I met them and they were lovely, and I have a huge collection of T.V memoribilia still, including a 21st birthday card from their bassist who I was in love with sooooooooo much.

And two years ago they come back and did a gig at the Forum, which is where the DVD was filmed and it was awesome and so like old times, and made me realise how much I miss them. As did watching the DVD really, but it's happy sad. (Sometimes I make sense!!!!!)

I did hear a rumour that they were getting back together for a one off thing to do with the Olympics, but that's in 2012. That's FIVE YEARS!!!!!!!!!

I miss Ren and Stimpy. They were class. There's another one that's gotta be by the same people but I've only ever caught bits of it and have no idea what's it called.

Anyway...........that has absolutely nothing to do with anything.

I'm happy 'coz I'm going to see Muse in four days and it's the first time I'll ever have seen them live even tho I've loved them for about five or six years 'coz I never had any friends that liked them. (I had friends obviously (and not just the voices in my head) but none of them like Muse. *Thinks* Yeah I need better friends!!!!) But now I do and I'm going to see them, and not even the complete and utter drivel that we get force fed as support on the Saturday can prevent me from bouncing up and doing and going 'eeeee'. A lot.

Then! The week after that I'm going to see Aerosmith at Hyde Park, which aside from obviously being uber awesome and unbelievably epic in itself is also cool 'coz I'm going with an old friend who I didn't talk to for two years. But we made it all up earlier this year and it's all shiny and good, and I'm really chuffed 'coz she was the person I first saw Aerosmith with about a gazillion years ago, so it's a full blown nostalgia thing. Which is always fun. And I also get to see Chris Cornell which I'm really psyched about as well.

AND!!!!!!!!!! If that wasn't enough I boughted myself tickets to see 'Prophets play at the Astoria in August, which I totally couldn't afford, but see Ian Watkins or eat? Well, it's priorities isn't it!!!!!!! ROFL.

I had never seen them live before last December (again lack of friends with taste) and so I have YEARS to catch up on, and I'm doing pretty well I think. :D

All of this in itself would be lovely and glossy and happy inducing, but there's more. My family has grown a bit more today. Two lovely boys who were dumped on the pet shop. Found a home, then were bought back again and are feeling unloved and worry that they smell so they live with me and my small(ish) army of fuzzies now.

This is Hiro

And this is Isaac

I keep saying I'm not going to get anymore, and then people have rats with sob stories, and I'm a sucker. :D

Okay, I don't usually get scared by much. My parents pretty much got me desensitised me from all the night terrors by letting me watch horror films from a fairly young age (Saw American Werewolf in London when I was about ten, and it's still one of my favourite films) and I'm a horror nut. Adore horror films, read Stephen King novels to tatters, am not scared of ghosties and ghoulies or things that go bump in the night.

Statues of crying angels that move and have teeth and send you back into the past however........... In case anybody didn't see it, I'm talking about tonight's Doctor Who. Now I have said before that I don't actually think that Doctor Who is suitable for children, and seriously if I'd have seen tonights ep when I was a child I'd have been in therapy until I was 40!!!!!!!!! (as a point of interest I absolutely hated Doctor Who with a fiery passion for most of my life and I'm old enough to remember Tom Baker thru Slyvester McCoy, I only bloody started watching it 'coz I just adore David Tennant, and now am hooked on it)

There is summat about Doctor Who, the writers seem able to tap into all the things I'm most scared of. The scary robot things with the masks were pretty horrific, and the scarecrows in the last couple of episodes were horrible, but those statues...........

Seriously, those things have really creeped me out. I actually got goosebumps at the bit where they looked up and the thing had moved and it was all teeth and reaching arms.

I remember reading somewhere about a million years ago that if you don't know who half the acts are on TOTP then you're too old to watch it. Alright admittedly TOTP has finally gone to the great T.V graveyard in the sky, but the principle is the same.

Was nowt on telly, and was bored so was flicking thru all the music channels. I have about six million but pretty much only ever watch Kerrang!, Scuzz or MTV2, and I couldn't have told you who 90% of the vids they were showing were by if you held a gun to my head.

Mind you I'm extremely good at never knowing who bands are anyway. This is the person who for about six months referred to Queens of the Stone Age as 'that band that Dave drums with (not Nirvana)' I know them now. Yes. Like Queens of the Stone Age. According to one of them 'we have an answer to any question' phone line thingies Josh Homme is the sexiest man in rock, which obviously I would dispute and really has nowt to do with anything anyway. My friend has NEVER forgiven me when she tried to prove a point by asking the question 'Who is sexier Johnny Depp or Ian Watkins?' and it said Ian. ROFL. To be fair tho, I would have accepted Mr Depp as the sexier, he is a fairly god like being.

Okay, I seem to have lost the thread somewhere, so I'm flicking thru the channels, not knowing who any of these people are, and is just me, or can you get a record deal nowadays just by promising to make a video with bikini clad women wiggling their arses a lot. Mad.

And then there's the support for when we go to see Muse on the 16th. Now, I'm not a particularly big fan of either MCR (tho I am LOVING the new song. Even if it does remind me somewhat of Status Quo, and now I feel really old!!!!!) or Biffy Clyro, but at least I am familar with the songs. I so far only managed to find one person that has ever heard of Rodrigo y Gabriella or whatever the hell they're called, and if given a choice between going deaf or being forced to listen to The Streets, I'd actually have to think about it. And now there is Dirty Pretty Things. Who? To be fair I've probably heard their stuff and just not taken it in, but seriously scrapping the bottom of the barrel. And I thought nobody could possibly beat 'Prophets for bad support (I apologise to anyone that does like them, but Bring me the Horizon are quite possibly the worst band I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot. Tho there was definately entertainment value from their set just from watching the bloke in front of us that had obviously bought his three sons to the gig LMAO!!!!!)

As support go, Aerosmith are doing pretty well at Hyde Park and I'm really looking forward to seeing Chris Cornell and I quite like Jet (Sorry Mike, tho I'm with you on System of a Down and definately ABBA XX) tho I've never heard of The Answer. Anyone?

It also comes to summat when I got excited over a Justin Timberlake vid, just 'coz I actually knew who he was. The shame. :D

On that note, I am retiring to my bed. Us old folks need more sleep dontcha know.

Yes, I did indeed go to see Pirates of the Caribbean- At World's End the other day (very first performance on Thursday, I may not mention him as much but I do fancy Orlando Bloom almost as much as Ian Watkins) and it is absolutely AWESOME. It's just epic. I didn't think it would be possible to surpass the first two, but I loved it so much.

Won't say too much 'coz I don't want to spoil it for people that haven't seen it. And if you haven't seen it, go and do that.......NOW!!!!!!!!

Also added another few members to my rattie family on Thursday. Two rescue lads, and a lovely little black dumbo girly (she was my birthday present from my dad)

So this is Will

So yesterday was my birthday, and I got far too much chocolate, loadsa teddy bears, the Saw trilogy box set and hurrah of hurrahs a MEGA LOLZ T-shirt (tho actually when I posted a picture to show my friend what I wanted I meant Ian!!!!!! hehe)

Right, I'm off to scoff choccie and watch horror films now.

I don't usually use these things (well at all really) to moan online, but this has been a really shite week, and I actually do feel like standing on the rooftops and screaming my heart out.

Firstly I've not been well all week, 'coz I've had an ear infection. I've been prone to them for about the last 15 years, tho I've not had a really bad one for a few now. But it's been really painful, and it's been windy here which made it worse, and 'coz my inner ear is all manky it's affected the piercing I had done recently so I've just been really miserable with that.

Then the other day I had to take one of my little girls (rats) to the vet 'coz she had a lump on her face. I thought it was an abscess, but it turns out she has a tumour on her face, and she has to have an operation on Tuesday, which I'm panicking about, 'coz I've not had good experience with my rats and facial tumours.

If that wasn't bad enough one of my boys, Kiefer has inoperable tumours in his tummy, so he is living on borrowed time now.

And I'm stressing 'coz my Muse tickets haven't turned up yet, and I still don't know who's supporting them.

And (you should NEVER start a sentence with a preposition and I've done it twice!!!!) if all that wasn't bad enough one of my friends who was meant to be coming down for my birthday next week, who I haven't seen in aaaaaages bailed on me.

So, as misery loves company, I thought I'd bore the pants off anybody brave enough to read this with all the crap in my life.

So I'm still in a manically good mood after last Sunday (not for any particular reason or owt!!) and now I'm even happier 'coz I have tickets to see Aerosmith!!!! Woohooooo!!!!!!! I haven't seen Aerosmith since they played Donington (back when it was still Monsters of Rock and before it become Download) in 90 summat. Epic!

Now, as to last Sunday, me and my very good friend Liz went to see Lostprophets at Wembley. The gig was really rather awesome, I think they were even better than when I saw them in December and thank you Ian, 'coz I have never participated in a Mexican Wave before, so my life is complete now. :D

Since I live in Essex, Liz lives in Berks, and Wembley is at the arse end of nowhere, we decided to stay the night in London rather than panicking trying to get the train back. And while we were there we thought it might be fun to hang around backstageish and see if we could catch a glimpse of the band.

At the age of 3*mumble* I have never done that before, so you have to try and experience these things before you die don'tcha? Was quite fun actually, we had a giggle and met some cool peeps and got to watch blokes cart big bins in and out (we were going to try and sneak into one and get backstage as in the video for 'Universally Speaking' but the bins were very big and I'm very little so we'd have had to ask the man for a leg up which would have spoiled the whole sneaking bit really)

At about 12.30 someone said that Ian had just left in a car, but since the person in question was invisible in a hoodie, I'm not quite sure how they worked that one out. A lot of people left then, but we're stubborn and really it was quite comfortable leaning on the barriers.

At about one Jamie come out but he wasn't allowed to come over tho he did wave. At about quarter past one Ian wandered over and spent some time with the about 12 of us that had managed to stay that long.

He is absolutely lovely, (and quite a bit better looking in the flesh if you can believe that) and had time to spend with everybody. He was really sweet and held up a sign for me when I asked him, tho he looked a bit bewildered and asked what it was all about. When I explained that I run a forum and that I may have mentioned once or twice that I was quite looking forward to seeing them, and the other members had been horrible to me about it. So Ian then says to take another pic and he'll pull a meaner face. The man is a legend.

Okay, I'll shut up now, or I'm gonna get all squealy and regress to about 8 years old again ( you should have seen us going back to the hotel rofl)

Love yas

I'm quite proud tho, 'coz I run a rat forum and it did actually take me two years to delete that. Rofl.

Finally got round to uploading some pics, there's a few of my ratties, I have a LOT more, but I really couldn't be arsed to upload all 56 of them, tho I guess it would kill some time before now and the 22nd of April.

Seem to have some vague idea that I'm doing summat mildly interesting that day, but just what escapes me right now, must be my age.
