oh, lucky you! seeing them at Wembley. i saw them when they came to Australia in January, but they only had the big balls of confetti during Knights Of Cydonia, along with the words on the screen. it was still the best night of my life, though. Muse are absolutely amazing live! and Matt Bellamy is a genius, i agree, :) .

A woo, a hoo.Okay, so I'm a bit delayed getting round to this, but it's been a bit of a mad week, but many, many over excited Muse related warblings to follow. So, we got there nice and early and did all the important stuff like spending all the money we'd bought on T-shirts (although my mate Clayre had already spent money before we got there on buying an absolutely fabulous stuffed rat for me. Hurrah!!!!!. Late birthday present) and then we wondered off to find our seats. We had pretty good seats actually, I'm very glad we weren't way at the back, 'coz I don't like heights, and would have spent most of the gig cowering and holding on to the seat for dear life. :D Then it rained. And I don't mean a little bit of rain, it tipped down. So we were very rock and roll sitting there under my Tigger umbrella (tho we did spot someone else with a Winnie the Pooh one!!!!) Then we got cold, so got even more rock and roll by sitting on the floor inside and drinking cocoa. I've never been much of a one for drinking at gigs anyway, but hot chocolate is a new low. Possibly I am getting too old for this lark. :D Out of sheer morbid curiosity we wandered back to watch Fred and Susan or whatever they were called. They were dull. Tho they did actually play Metallica at one point. As well as being really stunningly boring, they also had the ability to bend time and seemed to be on stage for about a week. Dirty Pretty Things probably would've been pretty cool, but the sound was shit and they just didn't really come across. Didn't even bother with The Streets. I've heard them live before and they are not good. So we went and remortgaged both our houses in order to buy a hot dog and pizza and sat on the floor (with coke this time. The fizzy stuff. No snorting.) and played spot the T-shirt. Which was a bit boring really 'coz it was like 'Muse, Muse, Muse, Muse, Muse' Tho we did get over-excited and wave at someone for wearing a Lostprophets T-shirt, and I jumped up and down 'coz I finally found someone in a Foo Fighters T-shirt. Ironically, since the thing I want to one day make a living at is being a writer, I'm really not sure I have the words to do Muse justice. They were just awesome. From the big classical music themed, confetti streaming entrance, to the acrobats on balls it was just amazing. And unlike some bands I've seen that have huge stage production to make up for the fact that they can't actually play a note live, Muse were absolutely faultless. It kinda pains me to get all gushy about Matt Bellamy, but dear god the man is a genius. If I'd have had any way of going again on the Sunday I so would've. It's taken me five years to get to see Muse live, but hell they were worth the wait, I can honestly say they are probably the best band I've ever seen live.
